La Bertoncello Ceramiche fu fondata nel 1956 a Schiavon, in provincia di Vicenza (Italy) dai soci Lini, Marco Pizzato e Giovanni Bertoncello, con il nome di "LPB" presto muta ragione sociale in "Bertoncello Ceramiche d'Arte" e la conduzione rimane esclusiva di Giovanni Bertoncello che grazie alle capacità artistiche e al piglio imprenditoriale porta la ditta ad ottenere ampi successi sia in Italia che sul mercato estero tanto che nei primi anni Settanta la manifattura impiega oltre 30 addetti. Purtroppo non si sa molto dell'azienda perché tutti i suoi cataloghi e archivi sono stati distrutti quando l'azienda ha chiuso nel 1999. Le forme della ceramica di Bertoncello sono spesso molto scultoree e geometriche e sembrano piccoli studi o maquette per massicce sculture moderniste ancora da costruire. Questo aspetto scultoreo di molti pezzi è stato migliorato dall'uso di piedi che sollevano sottilmente il pezzo dalla superficie su cui si trova. Ricordano le opere di Henry Moore e Barbara Hepworth e l'architettura dell'epoca. Il vaso presenta una piccola sbeccatura sul bordo della bocca.
