A beautiful Vintage Regency Revival dining table complete with the matching set of eight Regency style swagback dining chairs. The flame mahogany veneers on the top have been arranged so as to give a sunburst effect and it is finished off by the elegant satinwood crossbanding on the outside edge. The table is very solid as it has a circular ring base with four outswept Regency splay legs that terminate in brass cap castors which give the table its superb stability. The set of eight chairs all feature an attractive swag back design with 'drop in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest gold and cream patterned fabric. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining suite which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times. The items are not cities pursuant. Condition: In excellent condition. As vintage items, the pieces show minor signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, the suite displays beautifully. Matching his words to his work, Sheraton designed much mahogany furniture. The qualities that impressed Sheraton are particularly evident in a distinctive pattern of wood called "flame mahogany." The flame figure in the wood is revealed by slicing through the face of the branch at the point where it joins another element of the tree.
