We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning and very rare original circa 1920s Art Nouveau signed Muller Fres Luneville glass chandelier Muller Frères (Co.) was an esteemed French glass making company based in Luneville, France, famous for its Art Nouveau vases, lampshades, and chandeliers, which often incorporate layered and colored glass. Their workshop was established by Henri Muller and his brothers in 1895 after they trained with Émile Gallé—who would retain a grudge against Muller for setting up a rival enterprise. In 1910, the company began making lamps in association with Chapelle and, at its height, employed around 300 workers. Production was stopped in 1933 and the factory closed three years later, a victim of the Great Depression. A very good looking and well made original Art Nouveau light that has been fully restored and rewired from top to bottom. Structurally the chandelier is in perfect condition, aesthetically the wrought iron has various light patina marks all over from genuine age and honest use. The glass has multiple scratches around the fittings and edges, generally all over really, nothing you wouldn’t expect from a 100+ year old lamp Dimensions: Height 97.5cm Width 59cm Depth 59cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point
Siamo lieti di offrire in vendita questo splendido e rarissimo lampadario in vetro Art Nouveau originale del 1920 circa, firmato Muller Fres Luneville Muller Frères (Co.) è stata una stimata azienda vetraria francese con sede a Luneville, in Francia, famosa per i suoi vasi, paralumi e lampadari Art Nouveau, che spesso incorporano vetri stratificati e colorati. Il laboratorio fu fondato da Henri Muller e dai suoi fratelli nel 1895, dopo aver seguito una formazione con Émile Gallé, che avrebbe nutrito rancore nei confronti di Muller per aver fondato un'impresa concorrente. Nel 1910, l'azienda iniziò a produrre lampade in collaborazione con Chapelle e, al suo apice, impiegava circa 300 lavoratori. La produzione fu interrotta nel 1933 e la fabbrica chiuse tre anni dopo, vittima della Grande Depressione. Un lampadario originale in stile Art Nouveau di ottima fattura, completamente restaurato e ricablato da cima a fondo. Strutturalmente il lampadario è in perfette condizioni, esteticamente il ferro battuto presenta vari segni di patina leggera su tutto il perimetro, dovuti all'età e all'uso onesto. Il vetro presenta diversi graffi intorno ai raccordi e ai bordi, in generale su tutto, niente che non ci si aspetti da una lampada di oltre 100 anni: Altezza 97,5 cm Larghezza 59 cm Profondità 59 cm Tutte le misure sono prese nel punto più largo
