Betty Boop has been for many years the most fun and flirty animated pin-up icon, loved by adults and children, being reflected in all kinds of merchandising and decorative objects, standing out with her funny black curly hair and her mischievous wink, and always accompanied by her funny stilettos.
This mirror from the 40's and 50's has a small shelf where we find the figure of Betty sitting with a sensual dress and a garter with a little heart. At the bottom of the mirror is a small vanity case with accessories for this well-known coquette to touch herself up. Both at the top of the mirror, as on the edge of the shelf, we find the name "Betty Boop" in gold letters, decorated with scrolls of the same tone. As a curiosity, the first owner of this mirror placed a Santa Claus figure on it and there it has remained, giving this piece of wood a greater historical value for its collectors. This fun mirror, possibly from the most famous pin-up of all time, is an original, mythical and emblematic decorative accessory. Whatever its location, this themed decoration figure will stand out wherever it is!
A little history of Betty Boop...
It was the first cartoon of a flapper girl. She made her first appearance in 1926, in the cartoon "Dizzy Dishes", in the sixth installment of the "Fleischer's Talkartoon" series. Grim Natwick, a veteran animator at Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks studios, was primarily responsible for creating the animated character. The Betty Boop Figure is based on the figure of Helen Kane, American singer and actress hired by Paramount Pictures.
