A wooden armchair from the 1950s by designer Jan Vanek, which he designed for the Krásná jizba cooperative. Jan Vaněk was a Czech designer and furniture maker, architect and co-founder of the United Arts and Crafts Works. He worked with prominent architects of his time, such as Jan Kotěra and Josef Gočár, and contributed to the furnishing of Villa Tugendhat. His furniture stands out for its clean and timeless lines. The armchair is made of bent beech wood and stained in a light shade. The wooden parts have been completely renovated in our workshop. The straps and upholstery have been completely replaced in a dark red fabric.
