Pipe Man is a Pencil and Ink drawing with Tempera realized by Georges Redon (1869-1943). Good condition on a yellowed paper included a white cardboard passpartout (51x35 cm). Hand-signed and dated by the artist on the lower left corner. Jules Georges Redon born in Paris on November 16, 1869 and died in the same city on January 22, 19431 is a French painter, illustrator, caricaturist, poster artist, engraver and lithographer. Jules Georges Redon is the son of Marie-Louise Hauneau and Victor Louis Redon. Although he was born on Rue d'Hauteville in Paris, Georges was a child of Montmartre, a district to which he remained faithful all his life. After his military service, he began drawing in 1893 for news and humorous newspapers.

Jules Georges Redon, nato a Parigi il 16 novembre 1869 e morto nella stessa città il 22 gennaio 19431 , è un pittore, illustratore, caricaturista, cartellonista, incisore e litografo francese. Jules Georges Redon è figlio di Marie-Louise Hauneau e Victor Louis Redon. Sebbene sia nato in Rue d'Hauteville a Parigi, Georges è figlio di Montmartre, quartiere al quale rimarrà fedele per tutta la vita. Dopo il servizio militare, nel 1893 inizia a disegnare per giornali di attualità e umoristici.
