French Beauvais-Louis-Xvi wall rug of the 18th century in the neoclassical style according to the painting "Halali du Loup" by Jean-Baptiste Oudry, 1725, today part of the collection of Chateau Chantilly, France rectangular tapestry with a central oval cartridge on a cream-colored background, today, which shows one polychrome hunting scene with three dogs that attack a wolf in the middle of a park landscape: the hunting scene was made from 1725 after the painting "Halali du Loup" by Jean-Baptiste Oudry (1686-1755), which today is in the collection of Chateau Chantilly, France. The richly decorated cartridge frame is worn by a few Karyatids in Roman costume and is of lush polychrome flower garlands in the Louis XVI style with decorative elements such as classicist vases, ligaments and postings. The back of the wall rug was reinforced with cotton fabric. Due to design and the excellent quality of the execution, this wall rug of the manufacturer of Beauvais can be attributed, which was re-founded in 1726 by the painter Jean-Baptiste Oudry as artistic director. He held this position until his death in 1755. Egli ricoprì questa carica fino alla sua morte, avvenuta nel 1755. Insieme a Francois Boucher (1703-1770), che assunse come artista per la manifattura, adattò i disegni della tapiserie al gusto del tempo, introdusse la produzione di serie più piccole e realizzò disegni appositamente su misura per le sedute, il che significa che era su un pubblico civile era in grado di espandersi e contribuì in modo significativo alla fioritura della manifattura dopo la sua rifondazione.
