A Thousand Nostalgias in the Night is a beautiful painting realized by the contemporary artist Li Lei in 2007. This vertical contemporary artwork shows an abstract composition with a bright white background and splashes of blue and purple on top of it. The white background is not homogeneous, the brushstrokes and drips of paint are clearly visible. The purple stains stand out the most from the surface of the canvas. What really distinguishes this artist from any other is his naturalness when creating his artworks. He reinvents the relation between artist and creative process, from the concept to the final product, gaining recognition as one of the major protagonists of Chinese contemporary painting. Li Lei Li Lei was born in 1965 in Shanghai. In 1976 he attends the “People’s Fine Arts Course” and at 10 years he won already a prize in the national fine arts contest for amateurs organized by CCTV and in 1980 he entered the applied art class of Huashan Fine Arts Vocational School. His first exhibition and publication was in 1982 when the decorative paintings were included in Shanghai Fine Arts Exhibition and published in Shanghai Literature. In 1983 he entered in Shanghai Fine Arts Design Company and after some years he partecipated to Shanghai Youth Biennal and Shanghai International Art Festival in the Shanghai Art Museum. At 25 years old he partecipated to the Fifth Tai Wan International Print Art Biennal in Taipei Fine Arts Museum. From this moment started his success in the art field partecipating in a lot af exhibitions and shows and starting a new kind of oil painting. In the following years he organized and partecipated to a lot of exhibitions around the world: China, Korea, Netherlands, Germany, USA and more. In 2005 he became Executive Manager of the Shanghai Art Museum. Once held the post of Shanghai oil painting sculpture courtyard executive vice-president. In 1996 his creations are: ''Imperial sacrifices Flower'' the series, ''Recalled Chiangnan'' the series, ''Image Military yi'' the series, ''Is drunk Lake'' the series and so on. Li Lei works resides in many towns collections: China in Beijing and Shanghai; U.S.A. in New York; Germany in Frankfurt and Linz; Nederland in Amsterdam and Bork Smale; Belgium in Brussels. A Thousand Nostalgias in the Night è un bellissimo dipinto realizzato dall'artista contemporaneo Li Lei nel 2007. Questa opera d'arte contemporanea verticale mostra una composizione astratta con uno sfondo bianco brillante e spruzzi di blu e viola su di esso. Lo sfondo bianco non è omogeneo, le pennellate e le gocce di vernice sono chiaramente visibili. Le macchie viola risaltano maggiormente dalla superficie della tela. Ciò che distingue veramente questo artista da qualsiasi altro è la sua naturalezza nel creare le sue opere d'arte. Egli reinventa la relazione tra artista e processo creativo, dal concetto al prodotto finale, ottenendo il riconoscimento come uno dei maggiori protagonisti della pittura contemporanea cinese. Li Lei Li Lei è nato nel 1965 a Shanghai. Nel 1976 frequenta il "Corso di Belle Arti del Popolo" e a 10 anni vince già un premio al concorso nazionale di belle arti per dilettanti organizzato dalla CCTV e nel 1980 entra nella classe di arte applicata della Huashan Fine Arts Vocational School. La sua prima mostra e pubblicazione fu nel 1982 quando i dipinti decorativi furono inclusi nella Shanghai Fine Arts Exhibition e pubblicati nella Shanghai Literature. Nel 1983 è entrato nella Shanghai Fine Arts Design Company e dopo alcuni anni ha partecipato alla Shanghai Youth Biennal e al Shanghai International Art Festival nel Shanghai Art Museum. A 25 anni ha partecipato alla Quinta Biennale Internazionale d'Arte della Stampa di Taipei nel Museo di Belle Arti di Taipei. Da questo momento inizia il suo successo nel campo dell'arte partecipando a molte mostre ed esposizioni e iniziando un nuovo tipo di pittura ad olio. Negli anni successivi ha organizzato e partecipato a molte mostre in tutto il mondo: Cina, Corea, Olanda, Germania, USA e altre ancora. Nel 2005 è diventato direttore esecutivo del Museo d'Arte di Shanghai. Una volta ha ricoperto l'incarico di vicepresidente esecutivo del cortile della pittura a olio di Shanghai. Nel 1996 le sue creazioni sono: ''Imperial sacrifice Flower'' la serie, ''Recalled Chiangnan'' la serie, ''Image Military yi'' la serie, ''Is drunk Lake'' la serie e così via. Le opere di Li Lei risiedono nelle collezioni di molte città: Cina a Pechino e Shanghai; Stati Uniti a New York; Germania a Francoforte e Linz; Olanda ad Amsterdam e Bork Smale; Belgio a Bruxelles.
