Genesis is a collection of wall plates produced by Non Sans Raison and designed by tattoo artist Jeykill, a founding member of Bleu Noir. Inspired by the alchemy of the four elements that make up the world, a theme dear to the artist, Genesis tells us about our relationship to universality. Thus, water, air, fire and earth, associated with the four elemental qualities (hot, cold, dry and wet) merge to make us feel the balance of our planet. The duality between hot and dry represented by the yellow color on the one hand and the cold and wet by the blue color, on the other hand, reinforces the dynamics of the elements that can transform in contact with each other.Composed of a pyramidal shape, reminiscent of the symbols of harmony and unity, and designed in a half-sphere shape, the symbol of the sky, the Genesis wall plates converge towards infinity.
The work depicts both abstract and illustrative art. The precision of the lines invites us into a fabulous inner journey, a spiritual step in the image of a mandala, where the geometrical figures and the symbols expose a lot. The set is for four people and consists of 12 plates in Limoges porcelain. There are 4 dinner plates (27 cm), 4 dessert plates (21 cm), 3 bread plates (17 cm) and a dish (32 cm). Includes 12 magnets, 12 magnetic disks and assembly and user guide with scale 1 poster.Jeykill was born in the suburbs of Paris in 1974. After training as a graphic designer, he joined the collective 9ème Concept in 1997. On canvas or on the skin, his designs are based on a mix of ethnic and urban styles. He is inspired by the ocean, the sky, and human nature. In 2010, he opened with Veenom an atypical space dedicated to the art of tattooing, Bleu Noir, in Paris and in 2016, Biarritz.
