Excellent work realized by the master of the Italian Pop art movement depicting a still life of citrus trees set on table. We see the still life from above. The color of the table is an acid green that contrasts with the three fruits. The top is also characterized by orange shades that contrast with the green of the background. The work is part of the master's final work. Schifano will die in a few years. This work has been realized by Mario Schifano (Homs, 1934 - Rome, 1998). Schifano made his debut in the exhibition at ''Salita di Roma'', presented by Pierre Restany in 1960. It attracts many critics by creating monochrome paintings which give the idea of screen. He signed an exclusive contract with Ileana Sonnabend. In 1962, he made his first trip to the United States where he was attracted by artists like Franz Kline, he frequented Frank O'Hara, Jasper Johns, Rothko, Andy Warhol, Gregory Corso. He participated in the exhibition ''The New Realists'' at the Sidney Janis Gallery in New York. After two solo shows in Rome and Paris, he returned to the United States. In the elaboration of his artworks, the artist prefers to use colors of industrial production for their ability to preserve their brilliance.

Il colore della tavola è un verde acido che contrasta con i tre frutti. Anche il piano è caratterizzato da sfumature arancioni che contrastano con il verde dello sfondo. L'opera fa parte del lavoro finale del maestro. Schifano morirà tra qualche anno. Questo lavoro è stato realizzato da Mario Schifano (Homs, 1934 - Roma, 1998). Schifano ha debuttato nella mostra alla Salita di Roma, presentata da Pierre Restany nel 1960. Attira molti critici creando dipinti monocromi che danno l'idea di schermo.
