Delicate Terracotta piece made by the famous French source sculptor Charles Raphael Peyre. In this scene full of tenderness we encountered two figures, a girl and a bird, being mainly the youngest and the main animals of her work. We see how the girl, sitting in the grass, subtly holds with her two hands to the bird who faces the young woman. The beauty of the scene increases with the detail that achieves through punch treatment, a detail used in each and every one of the parts that make up the work. It highlights its ability to materialize human anatomies and therefore, each element of the body is modeled following the most absolute perfection. On the other hand, the slight ornamentations applied in the base (or soil) on which the girl supports and, trying to imitate a lush field, includes small details of flowers also made by means of a punch.
At the front of the work, the artist's personal mark can be seen, having indicated the work before the drying of the terracotta. On the other hand, we observe that the piece is hollow, one of the distinctive characteristics of the work process in this type of material. The piece also has a magnificent and recent restoration in the girl's neck area.
