Early in his career, VITRAC worked for the Airborne fumiture company and contributed to the development of the famous AA chair, an icon of French design. Later he worked for the lighting company Disderot, for which he created a series of modern and elegant luminaires. In the 1960s, VITRAC began working for the French porcelain company Villeroy & Boch, where he created several contemporary tableware collections, including the famous "Arpeggio" collection. VITRAC has also worked for other large companies such as Pyrex, Rosenthal and Cristallerie de Saint-Louis, as well as for numerous public institutions, including the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. Throughout his career, VITRAC has won numerous awards and distinctions, including the René Gabriel award in 1964 for his "Arpeggio" tableware collection for Villeroy & Boch. His work is exhibited in numerous museums around the world, including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Museum of Modem Art in New York
